Georgina Love
Partner
Georgina studied Law and Arts at the Australian National University. Georgina has been a solicitor at Davis Faulkner since 2017 and specialises in Commercial Law including sale and purchase of businesses, Estates & Succession Planning. Georgina moved to Yass in 2004 and attended High School at Mount Carmel. Georgina enjoys walking her dog ‘Pippa,’ camping with her husband, James and her two boys. Georgina is known around Davis Faulkner as the specialty cake baker always providing sweets treats to our staff members on their birthdays.
Carmen Swaffield
Partner
Carmen studied Law and Arts at Deakin University in Geelong. She grew up in Yass and besides a short stint in Geelong for study has lived here all her life. She has been a solicitor at Davis Faulkner since 2013 and specialises in Criminal Law, Conveyancing and Estates & Family Provision Claims. Carmen has four children with her husband, Andrew. Carmen is a dedicated spectator of her family’s sporting endeavours which also take up most of her spare time.
Georgia Woodward
Solicitor
Georgia grew up in New Zealand and following a move to Australia in 2021 fell in love with Yass and decided to make it her permanent home. Georgia studied Law and Arts at the University of Waikato in Hamilton, New Zealand and has also worked at the Crown Solicitor in New Zealand. Georgia is passionate about her Maori culture and identity and passing this along to her two young daughters. She looks forward to meeting with clients and building strong community relationships. She can assist with you Wills, Estates & Family Provision Claims, Criminal and Commercial Law enquiries.
Madeline Davis
Solicitor
Madeline studied law at the University of Canberra and was admitted to practice as a solicitor in 2022. She grew up locally and has lived in the Yass Valley her entire life. Madeline’s local connections to the community help her to foster strong relationships with her clients. Since commencing with Davis Faulkner in 2023 Madeline has focussed on Will and Estates, Commercial Law and Civil Litigation and has also created her own role as president of the Davis Faulkner Social Committee. In her spare time Madeline enjoys Pilates and travelling with her partner Jared. Madeline is committed to assisting clients to navigate their way through difficult and challenging legal issues.
Sophie Lawrence
Licensed Conveyancer
Sophie has worked as a conveyancer with Davis Faulkner since 2014 and
obtained her Licensed Conveyancing qualifications from Macquarie University in 2021. She is well known in the Yass Community having grown up in Yass with Mum, Dad and three brothers. Sophie is dedicated to making the sale and purchase of her client’s properties as seamless and stress free as possible. Her extensive local knowledge makes her uniquely qualified to help you with the sale and purchase of your property. She enjoys spending time with her family and beloved dachshund ‘Daisy’.
Joanne Buckmaster
Probate Officer​
Jo is one of our Probate Officers. She has previously worked as a Clerk of NSW Local Court’s for over 25 years and brings a wealth of experience to her role. She has lived in Yass with her husband and 2 children for over 20 years. Having lived throughout Eastern Australia and the UK, Jo is very happy to call Yass home. Jo enjoys spending time with her friends and family.
Karen Mitchell
Conveyancing
Karen works on our conveyancing team. She has been an employee of Davis Faulkner since 2018. Karen grew up with her brother and Mum & Dad on a farm outside of Yass. She has extensive experience in property having previously enjoyed a career as a property manager. Given her experience she understand the importance of communicating with our client’s. Karen enjoys spending with her two sons, walking her dog Ava and cooking exotic meals.
Robyn Willson
Probate Officer
Robyn is one of our Probate Officers and provides administrative assistance in relation to all of our deceased estates. She prides herself on endeavouring to make a difficult time easier for grieving families. Robyn has lived in Yass since she was 12 years of age and her family has strong connections to Dalton and spends a lot of time assisting with the upkeep of our local Greendale Church. Robyn enjoys Yoga and spending time with her children.
Christine Davis
Paralegal
Chrissie has been employed with Davis Faulkner as a paralegal since 2022 and is currently studying Law and Psychology at the University of Canberra. Chrissie has lived in Yass her whole life and attended school at Yass Public and Yass High. Chrissie takes pride in making strong connections with our clients and providing a high level of customer service. In her spare time, Chrissie enjoys going to the gym, walking her dog Billy and spending time with family and friends.
Ann Marie Miller
Legal Assistant
Ann Marie works on our conveyancing team. Ann Marie has previously worked in the finance industry and first started working in legal administration in 2009. She enjoys providing assistance to clients with the many and varied enquiries that come to the Davis Faulkner reception desk. She grew up in the local village of Binalong. Ann Marie lives in Yass with her family and cavoodles ‘Rocco’ and 'Buddy' and enjoys travelling and learning & experiencing new things.
Makayla Rummukainen
Paralegal
Makayla is employed at Davis Faulkner as a paralegal. She is in her final year of Law, studying at the University of Canberra. Makayla is drawn to assisting in large and complex matters and works to help clients feel at ease during the legal process. Makayla lives on a property at Yass River and enjoys being in nature, spending time with her loved ones and trying out new hobbies. You will often see Makayla wearing a fun pattern around the office and drinking either a green tea or a long black.
